IFI Archive Player
About
The IFI Archive Player is a virtual viewing room for Ireland’s moving image heritage.
The Irish Film Institute is Ireland’s national cultural institution for film. It gives audiences access to independent, Irish and international cinema, preserves Ireland’s moving-image heritage through the IFI Irish Film Archive, and creates opportunities to learn and engage with film.
The IFI Irish Film Archive collects, preserves and shares a diverse collection spanning from 1897 to the present day. Its films capture the social, political and cultural development of modern Ireland in an unusually immediate form.
This Sequence-powered Archive Player makes that collection fast to search, browse and watch across modern devices while retaining the editorial collections and historical context of the original service.
